Privacy Policy
Effective Date: December 3, 2024
1. Introduction
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how our app ("the App") collects, uses, and
shares information. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Data Collection
The App does not directly collect or store any personal or sensitive user data, except for the following:
- Non-personal technical information about the device (e.g., operating system version, device model).
- Crash and ANR reports generated through Google Play services, if voluntarily submitted by users. These
reports may include device identifiers, app usage data, logs, and stack traces that are automatically
processed by Google and made available to us via the Google Play Console.
- If the user chooses to log in to Google Play Games, the app may access basic account information (such
as the user's Google account name and profile) via the optional Google Play Games Services integration.
- If the user chooses to synchronize EPUB files with Dropbox using the Dropbox Core SDK, the app may
access the user's Dropbox account to store and retrieve EPUB files. This will require user
authentication with Dropbox, and the app will have access to the files selected by the user for
synchronization, as permitted by Dropbox API.
3. Use of Collected Data
Data collected is used for the following purposes:
- Improving the app’s performance and stability.
- Identifying and fixing bugs through crash and ANR reports.
- Providing optional Google Play Games Services features (e.g., achievements, leaderboards) if the user
chooses to log in.
- Enabling optional synchronization of EPUB files with Dropbox, if the user opts to use this feature. This
synchronization uses the Dropbox Core SDK for interacting with Dropbox and requires access to the user's
Dropbox account and selected files.
4. Data Sharing
We do not share your data directly with third parties except for the following:
- Google Play Console: Crash and ANR report data is processed by Google Play Console.
Google may collect and process this data as per their privacy policy. For more details, please refer to
the Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Games: If you log in with Google Play Games, Google may process your account information and
other data related to gameplay (e.g., achievements, leaderboards). Refer to the Google Privacy Policy for more information on how
your data is handled.
- Dropbox: If you choose to synchronize EPUB files with Dropbox using the Dropbox Core SDK, Dropbox may
process your account information, as well as files uploaded or retrieved via the synchronization
feature. For details on how Dropbox handles your data, please refer to the Dropbox Privacy Policy.
5. User Control
Users have control over the following features:
- Crash and ANR report submissions: You may choose whether to send crash and ANR reports
when prompted by
Google Play services.
- Google Play Games Services: You can choose to log in to Google Play Games to access
optional features
such as achievements and leaderboards. You can also disconnect the app from Google Play Games at any
time via the app's settings.
- Dropbox synchronization: You can choose to sync EPUB files with Dropbox using the
Dropbox Core SDK. This
will require authentication with your Dropbox account, and you can disconnect Dropbox synchronization at
any time through the app's settings.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the latest version of
this document.
